Founded in 1966, Selkirk College was the first regional community college in British Columbia. It offers over 60 nationally recognized programs serving about 2,700 full-time learners per year in certificate, diploma, bachelor degree, co-operative education, and continuing education programs.

Selkirk College’s Co-op Education programs are designed within guidelines established by the Canadian Association for Co-operative Education (CAFCE) and in consultation with federal and provincial government agencies. We have seven programs that provide a Co-op option to students, where students can earn school credit while working in a position relevant to their program and future career goals.
