Okanagan College has centralized co-op services based at the largest campus in Kelowna. While the department serves the entire Okanagan College region there were not consistent staff available in each region. This project saw how having dedicated staff at each campus and connecting with rurally based students, employers and college staff influenced increased visibility, interactions and opportunities for WIL to occur. The project was just 9 months in length but created a measurable impact on student and employer engagement which is still being maintained after the project concluded. Find out how we approached supporting our entire regions needs for connecting students, employers and growing WIL opportunities.
