ACE-WIL Town Hall- Connecting the Phase II COWIL Projects (February 2022)

At this event hosted by our friends at BCcampus, Karima Ramji and her team lead us in a self-location activity. We then reviewed the main themes of the 46 Phase II BC Co-op and Work-Integrated Learning (COWIL) Initiative Projects and offer opportunities to connect you with colleagues doing similar work across the province.

ACE-WIL Town Hall: COWIL Panel Discussion — Insights on Work-Integrated Learning from Northern and Interior B.C. (June 2022)

This town hall includes a panel showcasing three co-op and work-integrated learning (WIL) projects from the North and Interior of B.C. The three panelists represented Nicola Valley Institute of Technology (NVIT), College of New Caledonia (CNC), and the Tri-University Interior and Northern WIL Hub Project. Panelists provided an overview of their projects, describe the unique challenges and adaptations made in WIL for students/employers/WIL practitioners in the region, and share their lessons learned for delivering WIL in different contexts. ACE-WIL president Anna Jubilo also provided a 2023 conference planning update.

Assesment and Evaluation Webinar for BC Ministry of Advanced Education Funded Projects (July 2020)

In this webinar, UBC’s Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology offers strategies and tools to support assessment and evaluation of projects funded by the Ministry of Advanced Education’s $9 million WIL funding. The webinar explores how to create a useful evaluation framework, provides an overview of commonly used data collection methods (e.g., surveys, focus groups and interviews), and helps participants in identifying project milestones, opportunities, and challenges.
