Tessa DegenaisTessa is a MEd. Coaching Studies student at the University of Victoria, where she participated in two WIL Co-op work-terms as a Volleyball coach and teacher in Anzac, a small rural community in Northern Alberta. Growing up immersed in sports, Tessa dreamed of being a coach and strived to gain the knowledge and skills to give back to future athletes and make a positive impact, just as her coaches had done for her. She made her dream of a reality by accepting a Physical Education and Science teacher position in Anzac, and for the past three years, she has taken on the role of the Athletic Director and Acting Principal. Her passion for coaching motivated her to participate in the MEd. Coaching Studies program where she has seen valuable gains in her coaching capabilities and learning, because of intentional reflective practice through her Work Integrated Learning.

Congratulations Tessa!
