Students in the one-year Applied Business Technology Certificate complete a 3-week work experience in the role of Administrative Assistant. Students in the second half of this program use business simulation software to apply the knowledge and skills they have learned in a work-like setting during a 102-hour comprehensive office simulation course. This prepares them for the expectations in the workplace, for example: creating workplace success, evaluating your professional image, communicating effectively, leading by example, managing conflict, developing customer focus, valuing diversity, and acting ethically.

Many students are available for work experience, internships or for hire at the end of a semester following final exams. Many of our programs end in the spring. So be sure to connect with us in the fall or January/February with postings.
