KPU’s Environmental Protection Technology (EPT) is a two year accredited co-op program and participation in co-operative education is mandatory for all students. As a result, co-op admission is assured upon acceptance in the program.
Students carry out a variety of activities and there are extensive labs and field trips. Some students get to travel, enrolling for co-op work-terms abroad and many participate in the environmental student club.
EPT Co-op students have been employed in the following roles:
- Compliance Coordinator
- Climate Change Research Assistant
- Community Water Protection Assistant
- Environmental Technician
- Field Technician
- Environmental Analyst
