The 10-month Dental Assistant certificate program combines lectures and supervised clinical placements with opportunities to work with a range of equipment and techniques. Graduates are eligible to become a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) through the BC College of Oral Health Professionals and are qualified and career ready to work in private, group, and specialists’ practices, and in public health.

The CNC Dental Assisting program offers small class sizes and a 1:8 ratio of faculty to students in the clinical setting. Our clinic is equipped with 20 dental operatories and four radiography rooms with computerized dental stations, digital radiography and record keeping abilities.

Students provide patient-centered oral healthcare services within the clinical setting and work collaboratively with Northern Health Authority to deliver a unique Seal in a Smile program to elementary school aged children annually.
