Some courses in this program use business simulation software and other applied learning methods to prepare students for the workplace in areas such as International Business, Leadership, and Marketing. For example:

  • Small Business Development class students learn about the interdependence of marketing, finance, operations and HR through a business simulation.
  • In the Marketing Strategy Simulation, students learn to manage a marketing division developing a niche market based on new technology. Students design marketing campaigns and a global expansion strategy to build a profitable division.
  • In Digital Marketing Simulation, students learn all business elements for the creation and execution of a digital marketing campaign including decision-making processes for: strategic use of keywords; budget to maximize profits; organize/create all features of shopping ads; interpret/calculate metrics (KPIs/ROIs); utilizing digital tools and tactics (A/B testing) to identify the best approach for retargeting and conducting landing page optimization.
  • In Social Media Simulation, students learn to make data-driven decisions and apply metrics to strategically choose the best social media platform/right time to post; create feature/promotional posts; choose the right keywords and posts based on nature of the target market personas; and choose the right influencers paired with the right content strategy to achieve both brand awareness and increased revenue.

Many students are available for work experience, internships or for hire at the end of a semester following final exams.
