Zimmer Biomet APP New York City Open:

The APP Tour took a visit to the Big Apple for the APP New York City Open. Held at the home of the US Open for professional tennis, the tournament is a favorite amongst players and spectators. For a full breakdown of brackets and scores, click here. 

Men's Doubles:

In Men's Doubles, Erik Pailet & Ben Newell faced a tough challenge in the semifinals against Etienne Blaszkewycz & Jason McNulty, securing a win with scores of 9-11, 11-7, 11-3. Meanwhile, Jack Munro & Mario Barrientos advanced to the finals by defeating Will Howells & CJ Klinger 11-6, 11-2. In the finals, Munro & Barrientos continued their dominant performance, overcoming Pailet & Newell 11-6, 11-5 to clinch the title at the APP NYC Open. The bronze medal match saw Howells & Klinger easily defeat Blaszkewycz & McNulty 11-1, 11-0.

Men's Singles:

In Men's Singles, Chris Haworth triumphed over Vuk Velickovic in a closely contested semifinal, winning 15-8, 7-15, 15-6, while Grayson Goldin edged out Alexander Crum with a scoreline of 15-12, 6-15, 15-12. The finals were an intense showdown, with Haworth narrowly defeating Goldin 20-18, 18-16. Alexander Crum secured the bronze medal after a hard-fought match against Velickovic, finishing 17-15, 19-17.

Mixed Doubles:

The Mixed Doubles category featured Will Howells & Bobbi Oshiro advancing to the finals by beating Rob Nunnery & Susannah Barr 11-9, 11-5. They faced CJ Klinger & Mari Humberg, who had previously overcome Eric Oncins & Riley Bohnert 2-11, 11-2, 11-4. In a thrilling final, Howells & Oshiro emerged victorious with a 12-14, 11-8, 11-6 win. The bronze medal went to Nunnery & Barr, who defeated Oncins & Bohnert 11-3, 12-10.

Women's Doubles:

Women's Doubles saw Allison Harris & Simone Jardim narrowly beat Kelsey Grambeau & Amanda Hendry 11-8, 12-10 in the semifinals. Meanwhile, Megan Fudge & Yana Newell triumphed over Mari Humberg & Susannah Barr 13-11, 15-13. In the finals, Fudge & Newell decisively won against Harris & Jardim 11-2, 11-7. Humberg & Barr secured the bronze after a three-set battle against Grambeau & Hendry, winning 11-13, 11-3, 11-7.

Women's Singles:

In Women's Singles, Megan Fudge defeated Bobbi Oshiro 15-4, 15-13 in the semifinals, and Yana Newell beat Maria Klokotzky 15-10, 16-14. The finals were a showcase of Fudge's dominance as she clinched the title at the APP NYC Open, outplaying Newell 16-14, 15-5. In the battle for the bronze medal, Bobbi Oshiro emerged victorious in a thrilling contest against Klokotzky, securing a 16-14, 15-13 win.

Senior Pro Spotlight:

Team JOOLA brought home two gold medals on the AARP Senior Pro Tour at the APP NYC Open. Angela Simon continued her success on court by securing another gold medal in Women's Doubles. In Mixed Doubles, Alka Strippoli conquered the bracket and took home the gold medal.
